ゴムの断面観察
ゴム材料の構造を解析するために、断面観察を行った事例です。以下の写真は、凍結ミクロトーム加工による、ゴム材料の断面SEM写真です。ゴムは粘性が高く、通常のミクロトームで切削すると、切削部が伸びて観察が出来ません。ゴムを冷却して適度な硬さにしてから切削する事により、伸びの問題を回避し断面の観察が可能となりました。クオルテックでは、有機・無機の材料を問わず、様々な素材の断面研磨に挑戦しています。
